- Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
- Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then cook until golden brown and cooked through (6-8 minutes)
- Reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the pan
- Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer
- Stir in grated parmesan cheese until melted and smooth
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with butter, tossing everything together until well combined
Notes
Use freshly grated parmesan for best flavor, don't overcook garlic, reserve pasta water for thinning sauce if needed, add red pepper flakes or fresh herbs for extra flavor
