  1. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente
  2. While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
  3. Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then cook until golden brown and cooked through (6-8 minutes)
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant
  5. Pour in chicken broth and scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the pan
  6. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer
  7. Stir in grated parmesan cheese until melted and smooth
  8. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with butter, tossing everything together until well combined
