Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 4 cups plain Greek yogurt (full-fat works best for creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Optional add-ins: fresh berries, chocolate chips, crushed cookies

Method

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Whisk vigorously until the mixture is completely smooth and well incorporated. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. This chilling step helps the mixture freeze more evenly and prevents ice crystals from forming.
  3. Pour the chilled mixture into a shallow freezer-safe container. Freeze for 1 hour, then remove and stir vigorously with a fork or whisk to break up any ice crystals. Return to freezer and repeat this process every 30 minutes for the next 2-3 hours until creamy and scoopable.
  4. If adding berries, chocolate chips, or other mix-ins, fold them in during the last stirring session. For fruit additions, make sure they're patted dry to prevent excess moisture.
  5. Once your frozen yogurt reaches the desired consistency, cover the container tightly and freeze for another 2-3 hours to firm up. Serve scooped into bowls and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Use full-fat yogurt for creamiest texture, don't skip the chilling step, stir frequently during freezing, serve slightly softened at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before scooping.
