- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, milk (or buttermilk), and Dijon mustard until smooth and well combined
- Gradually whisk in the sugar until dissolved, then add the apple cider vinegar
- Add the celery seed, onion powder, black pepper, and salt, then whisk vigorously until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the dressing is smooth and creamy
- Refrigerate the dressing for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together, then taste and adjust seasoning if needed
Notes
This dressing tastes better the next day as flavors develop, and can be stored in an airtight container for up to 1 week. For thickness control, add more milk for thinner dressing or reduce liquid for thicker consistency.
