- Prepare the vegetables. Dice the avocados, chop the red onion and cilantro, and halve the cherry tomatoes. If using fresh corn, carefully cut the kernels from the cobs.

- Combine ingredients. In a large bowl, gently mix together avocados, corn, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño (if using), cherry tomatoes, and black beans.
- Add dressing. Pour the lime dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all ingredients evenly.

Notes
Choose ripe avocados that yield slightly to gentle pressure. You can use frozen or canned corn as alternatives. Prepare dressing and chop vegetables ahead of time, but combine just before serving to prevent avocado browning.
